Bookies Back Italy To Get Back On Track

Despite their three goal defeat to Holland, Ladbrokes firmly believe the World Champions will stay in the hunt for qualification today.

Romania face a dilemma in their match with Italy because at some point the outsiders have to win a match to get through from Group C. Their dour effort against France won them a point but now they must stick or twist against the Italians.

Probably the Romanians will sit back and choose to stake everything on the last game, knowing what they have to do at that point but of all sides, Italy are unlikley to be fazed by a packed defence.

It is at the back where the Azzuri have issues and if Romania are unambitious it will suit them. They didn't play that badly against the Dutch- 3-0 was a harsh scoreline -and the Romanians could be in the firing line this afternoon.
