Arsenal vs Everton: Premier League Prediction Panel 2008/9 - preview and predictions

Bookmark and Share

Arsenal will be weakened by the losses of William Gallas and Bacary Sagna, but Arsene Wenger will be more concerned by the lumpy domestic form of his team.  Last season Arsenal could still win the league with two games to go, but there are now some serious doubts that that performance can be replicated.  Indeed failure to win this game could see Arsenal slip into mid-table - its early days but Wenger needs a string of wins to quiet the doubters.

Everton are facing a real injury crisis, considering how small their squad is and with Cahill suspended half the first team squad could be absent - Yobo, Neville, Osman, Castillo, Jagielka and Anichebe are all missing or doubtful.  Everton has excellent away form this season and is the only team outside the top three to be unbeaten away from home.  Equally the home form is so bad that Everton could be in the relegation zone come Monday night.

Every fixed odds coupon will have an Arsenal home win (coupled with Man United and Liverpool) this weekend, but after an international break results are rarely that clear cut.

Arsenal vs Everton; Kick Off 03:00pm 18 Oct 2008
