Hull City vs Manchester City: Premier League Prediction Panel 2008/9 - preview and predictions

Bookmark and Share

Hull has hit the inevitable rocky patch after such an exciting start to life in The Premier League.  The relegation zone is still seven points distant - but with no-one trailed off just about every game is being fought for with a rare ferocity.  Four wins on the spin for Hull has been followed by an almost biblical (think about that bloke with the colourful overcoat and the king's dreams) three straight defeats.  It is difficult to tell if Hull are in a tailspin or about to go on a good run!

For Mark Hughes the rumours are starting to swirl around about his tenure; which is not surprising when there are rich owners who agreed to purchase Britain's most expensive footballer in August - only for the team to be a couple of points of the bottom in November.  I guess that Hughes needs to get City moving upwards quickly and end the season where Hull are - in around sixth - if he is to keep his position.  Like Villa at Arsenal yesterday, the best way to catch a team in a position you covet is to beat them!

Should be tense, the bookies can't split the teams and most pundits expect both teams to score.

Hull City vs Manchester City; Kick Off 4:00pm 16 Nov 2008
