Liverpool vs Fulham: Premier League Prediction Panel 2008/9 - preview and predictions

Liverpool go into this match joint top of the Premier League and even the most cynical fan must now admit that this season represents a good chance of being a championship season.  If Liverpool ultimately come short it could be in games like this, with total expectation of a win - but after an international break and with a couple of players injured.  Obviously the Stoke game comes to mind as a possible warning - but still Liverpool should run in two or three goals even without Gerrard and Keane.

Fulham hasn't travelled well for years; home form has kept the club in the top flight.  But recent signs have been encouraging with Andy Johnson looking like a goalscorer again.  Roy Hodgson will set Fulham up to avoid a rout and hope to bag something on the break.  But being an experienced manager he will, in all probability, save his troops for more winnable battles.

Liverpool will rightly start as odds-on favourites.
