Can The Minstermen Add To Stevenage's Misery?
This weekend's FA Trophy Final is a meeting of teams from different ends of the Blue Square Premier.
Stevenage Borough have been battling for promotion and reached the play-offs to decide promotion to the Football League; York City have battled relegation and squeezed out of trouble in the last few games.
Up to Monday Stevenage had to be the hot favourites to lift a trophy that they won in 2007. However, that confidence might be misplaced now.
In front of a Bank Holiday crowd, Stevenage saw a two goal first leg lead clawed back by Cambridge United in normal time of their play-off second leg. Then Graeme Westley's side had to endure Cambridge's winner in the 119th minute.
As well as the disappointment of such a late elimination, Stevenage felt hard done by as they had a man dismissed in both legs. So it won't be two appearances at Wembley in successive weekends.
Westley has to pick his men up and cope with suspensions while Martin Foyle has a fresh bunch on a high after beating the drop.
Stevenage remain favourites with the bookmakers but York might be worth a punt as they have nothing to lose and could catch opponents who are still suffering from their disappointment at Cambridge.

York City 11/8
