Arsenal v Fulham: Winning end to the season for Wenger

Bookmark and Share

It’s been a terrible end to the season for Arsenal fans. They’ve seen their Premier League hopes fade since their European humbling at the hands of European giants Barcelona and watched their north London rivals Spurs finally break into the top four. However it could get even worse this afternoon. Defeat at home today by the Europa League finalists combined with a Tottenham win at Burnely could see Redknapp’s men pip Arsenal to third place.

Fortunately for Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal fans, Fulham have an awful record in north London. They have never beaten the Gunners away from the Cottage in their history and, with a date against Atletico Madrid in Hamburg on Wednesday, I can’t see Hodgson’s men busting a gut to beat the Arsenal.

Arsenal v Fulham; Kick Off 4pm 09 May 2010
