Everton v Wolves: Toffees backed to get first points on the board

Bookmark and Share

Wolves got their new campaign off to a flying start with a 2-1 win over their Midlands rivals Stoke City but they will need to be on top of their game if they are to leave Goodison Park with a share of the spoils this weekend.

Everton slipped to their third opening day defeat in a row at Blackburn and goalkeeper Mark Howard will be furious with himself for the blunder that gifted the points to Big Sam’s side, but Goodison Park is a tough place for visiting teams.

Mick McCarthy’s men haven’t won on the blue side of Merseyside for 31 years although last year they did manage to hold Moyes’s men to draws both home and away. The Toffees haven’t seen their boys lose at home though since neighbours Liverpool turned them over in November and the majority of the Panel is going for a home win.
