Arsenal V Bolton Wanderers: Gunners target all three points

Bookmark and Share

Bolton Wanderers may be one of eight top flight teams yet to taste defeat this season but the Panel firmly believes the visitors will head back up the M6 with a sour taste in their mouth on Saturday night.

The Gunners put six past Blackpool on their last outing at the Emirates, but while nobody foresees the Wanderers being on the receiving end of a similar thrashing, only one of our panellists can see them taking anything off the hosts.

North London has hardly been a happy hunting ground for Owen Coyle’s men. Their last win over the Gunners came in the FA Cup in 1994 and you have to go back to 1962 for the last time they beat Arsenal at home in the league. With Jussi Jaaskelainen out for the visitors, following his crazy red card against Birmingham City, their hopes of victory rest in the hands of young Adam Bogdan.

The Wanderers always make life difficult for Arsene Wenger’s men and went two up inside 30 minutes at the Emirates last season before the Gunners staged a remarkable comeback. However, despite Walcott and Robin Van Persie missing out through injury, the majority of the Panel believes Arsenal will see off Bolton without too much trouble this time round.
