West Bromwich Albion V Tottenham Hotspur: Redknapp seeks winning send off
Tottenham were a real coupon buster last time out when they sensationally lost to Wigan Athletic but the arrival of Dutch midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart should give Redknapp’s men a vital shot in the arm as they visit the Hawthorns this weekend – and boy do they it.
West Bromwich Albion have not been the best hosts for Spurs in recent years and despite losing at Liverpool they will be full of confidence from their overall performance.
Spurs have won only won once at the Hawthorns in the past 25 years and Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo seems to have the balance between defence and attack just right. He will be boosted by the news that Jermain Defoe will be missing for the visitors but he may have to pay close attention to the attacking threat of Van der Vaart.
Tottenham haven’t lost back-to-back games in the Premier League for 11 months and they will want to leave for their Champions League clash with Werder Bremen on a high. Fortunately for Redknapp, the majority of the Panel think they will do just that.
