Have Real Madrid dropped more than a cup? - includes video

Bookmark and Share

There are many questions that could be asked after seeing Real Madrid player, Sergio Ramos, drop the Spanish Copa del Rey trophy off the top deck of a bus before it went under the front wheels.

The first that occurred to me though was 'why are Real Madrid holding an open top bus parade for winning a tournament that is ranked - at best - as the lowest target for the season?'.  For clubs that rarely win tournaments an open top bus journey after winning a trophy seems fair enough - this seasons FA Cup winners in England will surely arrange one.

But as Real Madrid win so many trophies is considering this win to be a celebratory triumph  indicative of a club that is concerned that there may be nothing more to celebrate this season - given Barcelona's dominance?

As an afterthought the bus driver needs to re-check his emergency stop if he can't stop a vehicle moving at pedestrian speed immediately when something significant slips off the upper deck.  After all it could have been Ronaldo.
