Liverpool v QPR: Can the Reds get back to winning ways at Anfield?

Bookmark and Share

Liverpool v QPR

Liverpool have failed to beat promoted sides Norwich City and Swansea at Anfield this season. Will QPR complete the set this weekend or will the Reds finally win at home for the first time in two months?

Neil Warnock's men haven't won on the red half of Merseyside for 20 years, but they are playing some great football right now and any team that can turn Stoke over on their own patch deserves special praise.

Liverpool were unable to match a club record of seven straight away wins on Monday night against Fulham, but Dalglish will be desperate to get back to winning ways here. He has been frustrated by the club's home form. Opposing keepers recently have been inspired to turn in world class performances at Anfield. Dalglsih will be praying that Radek Cerny has a bad day here.

QPR claimed their first three points of the season at Everton and Neil Warnock would love to claim a Merseyside double. Joey Barton is bound to take some flak from the Liverpool fans, but he will lap that up. Heider Helguson is in fine scoring form and Shaun Wright-Philips looks to have been given a new lease of life at the Rs.

On paper it looks like a home banker, but I wouldn't be surprised if QPR managed to nick something from the game. Unfortunately for the visitors, the majority of the pundits are going for a home win.
