Norwich City v Chelsea: Can the Canaries give AVB the Blues?

Bookmark and Share

Norwich v Chelsea

Norwich have lost their last five meetings with Chelsea but Paul Lambert's men will fancy their chances against Andre Villas-Boas' team this weekend.

The Canaries are the highest placed promoted side in the Premier League and last weekend's win at West Brom has moved them 12 points closer to the magic 40 point mark. Paul Lambert's men have loved every minute of their top flight adventure, scoring goals and winning over the neutrals with every game, but the scalp of a top four side is still missing.

Norwich were eight minutes away from gaining a sensational point at Stamford Bridge in August until goalkeeper John Ruddy was sent off and Frank Lamaprd and Juan Mata put the game to bed. However the Norfolk men have taken great belief from that game and gone to places like Old Trafford and Anfield with no fear.

Chelsea have moved four points clear of Arsenal in the race for a top four finish but they are still not firing on all cylinders. Last weekend they beat a resurgent Sunderland 1-0 but Lord only knows how the Black Cats failed to score. Maybe AVB's luck is starting to turn?

The Blues have scored in every league game this season, bar the opening day draw at Stoke, while Norwich haven't kept a single clean sheet. With that in mind, I expect to see goals at Carrow Road, but who will score the most?
