Predict the Premier League: Poor week for the experts

Bookmark and Share

There were 30 points up for grabs this past weekend in the Predictions League but not even one single pundit could muster even a quarter of that figure.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Fulham and West Brom were the biggest coupon busters as the Blues drew a blank at Norwich, Liverpool were thrashed by Bolton, Fulham ran riot against Newcastle and West Brom finally got the better of their old nemesis Stoke.

The best performers in the Experts section were Birmingham's Steve Coulter, Blackpool's Phil Trow, Leicester's Chris Pettitt and the West Ham pairing of Nigel Telfer and Mitch Waddon, who all scored six points. They were closely followed by the foursome consisting of Leeds United's Phil Bundy, Squarefootball editor Antony Melvin and the Portsmouth duo Dan Taylor and Peter Rendle.

It wasn't such a great week for Aston Villa's Lynette Ranson or Middlesbrough's Sue Gardener either, as they failed to get their predictions in on time.

Here is who scored what this weekend:
