Predict the Premier League: Blackpool's lead is coming under real scrutiny

A few weeks ago it looked as though Blackpool's Phil Trow was going to erase last season's heartache of just missing out on the Predict the Premier League title by having this one wrapped up by Christmas.

The Seasider had stormed to the top of the pile and nobody ever looked like catching him. However, as we near the end of January his lead over Birmingham's Steve Coulter has been reduced to just three points and Portsmouth's Peter Rendle and Leicester's Chris Pettitt haven't given up hope of toppling him either.

Down at the bottom, Middlesbrough remain rooted to the foot of the table while Leeds fan Phil Bundy is doing his damnedest to get out of the bottom three.
