Everton v West Brom: Can the Baggies bash the Toffees?

Everton v West Brom

Former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson returns to Merseyside this afternoon to take on David Moyes's FA Cup semi-finalists and the Albion boss will be hoping his charges can get back to winning ways after a little wobble.

Following a successful run of three wins on the trot, the Baggies have picked up just one solitary point from their past three outings. However, they have proved to be a real menace on the road this season. Hodgson's men have won more games on their travels than anyone outside of the top seven - including Chelsea.

Goodison Park will also bring fond memories back to Baggies fans from last season when they turned Moyes's men over 4-1. Unfortunately, Everton have been the top dogs this season, knocking the Albion out of the Carling Cup and beating them at the Hawthorns in their first game of 2012.

Everton will be on a high after sealing an FA Cup semi-final place against rivals Liverpool at Wembley on April 14. Although whoever thought making 90,000 fans travel from Liverpool to the capital for a lunchtime kick-off was a bright idea needs to have a long hard look at themselves.

David Moyes has placed huge importance in the FA Cup this season, even sacrificing three points against the Reds in the league earlier this month, but will the Scot be willing to rest key players this afternoon ahead of the Wembley semi?

Only Arsenal have managed to beat Everton at Goodison Park in 2012. Can West Brom add their name to that list? Our pundits are not convinced.
