Predict the Premier League: Stoke climb closer to title glory

Bookmark and Share

Is Stoke City fan Phil Eccleston just a man or indeed a football genius? The Potter has had the Predict the Premier League title in the bag for a number of months now but his stats are extraordinary. Over the course of the past 32 fixtures, Phil has correctly predicted 49 correct scores and 113 correct outcomes. With three points for a perfect score and one for a correct outcome, his performances have given him a points total of 260. That's 26 more than his nearest challenger, Aston Villa's Frank Pattison.

Phil was our joint top scorer this past three matchdays alongside Bolton's Dave Blackburn with 26 points, three more than Manchester United's Mr Lee - who is now two points behind Aston Villa's Frank Pattison.

It's a lot tighter down at the bottom though as Arsenal's Don McMahon continues his push to safety. Only seven points separate him with safety. It was a bad week on and off the pitch for Liverpool's Mark Williams. He has slipped back into the bottom three and Swansea's Jim White is also making a late bid to beat the drop.

Here is how the table now looks.
