Swansea City v Wolves: Can Wolves savage the Swans?

Bookmark and Share

Wolverhampton Wanderers became the first side to lost their Premier League status last weekend as they valiantly battled title contenders Manchester City. This weekend they visit Swansea City but can Terry Connor's men savage the Swans?

Swansea's impressive home form was the backbone of Brendan Rodgers's success earlier in the season. They were hard to beat and near impossible to score past. However, the likes of Manchester United, Norwich and Newcastle have all left Wales with maximum points since, but fortunately the Swans' away form has picked up to seal their top flight status.

Wolves meanwhile have been on a slippery sliddy slope for a long time now. With only one win to their name since December 4, Wolves are proving that losing is a habit that's hard to break. Terry Connor has recorded just two points during his time in the hot seat and you have to believe that the board will appoint a senior manager in the summer as they try to bounce straight back up.

Swansea let Wolves off the hook at Molineux in October, surrendering a 2-0 lead with only minutes remaining. However, I can't see that happening on Saturday. But in saying that, with the pressure off, and buoyed by their determination last weekend, maybe Wolves could turn on the style. Unfortunately, the panel see this as a home banker.
