Predict the Premier League: Great finish for Aberdeen, Portsmouth and West Ham

Bookmark and Share

Aberdeen and Portsmouth fans have not had a lot to cheer about this season but Dandy Don Colin Illingworth and Pompey fan Peter Rendle have ended the season in the style.

Both Mr Illingworth and Mr Rendle picked up 10 points from the final weekend to sit pretty at the top of our weekly table. Aberdeen gained their points from two correct scores - Norwich 2 Aston Villa 0 and Wigan 3 Wolves 2 - alongside four other correct results. Portsmouth on the other hand only got one correct result - Spurs 2 Fulham 0 - along with seven correct results.

West Ham United, who are just 90 minutes away from reaching the Premier League, also scored 10 points this week through Mitch Waddon. Mr Waddon also got one score bang on - Norwich 2 Aston Villa 0 - alongside seven correct results.

Those results didn't have a huge impact on the destination of the Predict the Premier League Experts' title. Long-time leader, Blackpool fan Phil Trow, did enough to clinch the title. With a £10 prize for the charity of their choice at stake on the final day, Mr Trow, along with West Ham fan Mitch Waddon and Portsmouth's Peter Rendle, managed eight out of 10.

It was a bad afternoon for Middlesbrough's Sue Gardener. She could only manage four points and was one of only four pundits who failed to break through the 200-point barrier.

Here is who scored what on the final day.
