Spurs: What is going on at the Lane?

So we are at the end of the season and as a Spurs fan my club is at a crossroads. We have more questions than answers. Is Harry Redknapp going to stay? If not who are we going to get in? Who should we try and sign? Who, if anyone, is going to leave and what are our hopes and expectations for the coming season?

Let's kick-off with the most important issue, should Redknapp stay? The answer to that is we simply do not know. There have been numerous rumours doing the rounds on social networking sites that Redknapp is in Dubai and some of the clubs out there have approached him, but is this true?

On a domestic front there has been speculation that Chelsea want to appoint a manager for 12 months while they wait for Pepe Guardiola to have his sabbatical, but would Redknapp really take that? Personally I think he is either going to be at Spurs or he might go to Dubai. However a third option that I would like to throw into the mix is that he is going to be sacked by Levy.

Rumours are rife in football but talk of Redknapp getting the boot are quite strong, although I don't personally think that is going to happen. After all, he achieved what he set out to do last season, finish fourth. It was only Chelsea's spot-kick triumph in Munich which has denied us Champions League football come August. But if Levy does wield the axe, Spurs should be looking at the likes of David Moyes, AVB, Paul Lambert or Roberto Matinez.

Who would I like to buy? Well as a fan I would personally sign Manchester City's Adam Johnson. He would help push Bale and more likely Lennon for a starting berth. Ventonghen would also be a good addition to the squad as he is a quality central defender and I would be a great partner for Kaboul. All of a sudden the Spurs defence is looking very good with Dawson and Caulker as backup. I would also bring back Kyle Naughton from Norwich as he can be cover for Walker and Assou-Ekotto. A new goalkeeper would also be a wise move as Friedel can't last forever.

Two strikers out of Adebayor, Remy, Damaio, Ba, Luuk de Jong and Rhodes would be wonderful and let's get rid of all the deadwood. Flops such as Bentley, Jenas etc so be sent packing and hopefully we will be able to keep all of our class players such as Modric (only sell if you absoulety have to) Bale, Van der Vaart, Walker, Sandro, Kaboul, Dawson and Lennon.

Expectations for next season will be to get into the top four and to win a cup, while playing the attacking style that Tottenham Hotspur is known for.

The Europa League is going to be another distraction as we aim to finish in the Champions League places so I would play the youngsters, Carroll, Kane etc, alongside the experienced fringe players like Defoe and Dawson to keep them sharp and match fit.

Whatever happens it looks like it is going to be another interesting season down at the Lane.

Calling all Spurs fans. What are your hopes for the season ahead? Should Redknapp be given the boot? Should Adebayor and Ba be your main transfer targets? How much would it take to let Modric leave? Whatever you view we'd love to hear from you.
