Aberdeen: Would you like to write for Squarefootball?

Aberdeen fans haven't had much to shout about in recent years. In the 80s under Sir Alex Ferguson, the Dons were dominant at home and abroad. The Glasgow giants of Celtic and Rangers just couldn't compete with the likes of Willie Miller, Alex McLeish, Neil Simpson, Eric Black and John Hewitt, and neither could Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.

Unfortunately, it's been a barren few years for the Red Army - their last trophy success came in 1995 - but with rivals Rangers now out of the picture Craig Brown's men from Pittodrie will be hoping to take full advantage and get back in amongst the silverware.

Aberdeen have a loyal and fantastic fanbase and the Reds should be up there challenging for major honours. With everything that is going on in Scotland, we would love to have a Dandy Don on the site to cover the game north of the border.

So if you are a budding Martin Samuel or just someone who wants to share their views with our loyal and growing army of readers, then we'd love to hear from you. From transfer tales to best of features, we are giving you the opportunity to be creative and engage with the readers. Feel free to focus solely on the Dandy Dons or spread your wings and write about the Scottish game in general, tackling the big issues head on. The world is literally your oyster.

We want to increase the size of our squad for the 2012/13 season and are scouring the globe for fresh talent, so if you know your Arsenes from your Rodgers, love to write and have a passion for football you could be just what we are looking for.

Interested? Then please get in touch using the feedback form below and we will be in touch shortly.
