Spurs v Norwich City: Can the Canaries stun Spurs again?

Bookmark and Share

Spurs v Norwich

Norwich City put a spanner in Tottenham's Champions League hopes last season by leaving the Lane with a 2-1 win. Anthony Pilkington and Elliott Bennett were the Canaries' heroes in April, but can they help Chris Hughton register his first league win as Norwich manager this weekend or will Andre Villas-Boas shake that monkey off his back?

Spurs have endured a tricky start to the campaign. They went down 2-1 at Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion secured a share of the spoils right at the death last weekend. But before people start jumping on AVB's back, they should remember that it took Harry Redknapp until his third league game last season to register his first win and that was on the back of two thrashing by the Manchester giants.

Norwich will not be looking forward to returning to the capital. The scars are still evident from a fortnight ago when Fulham smashed five past them without reply. To make matters worse, their record against Spurs is bad. Besides last season's victory, the Canaries have only beaten their hosts once during the Premier League - and that's including home and away meetings.

Spurs, who are expected to make a few last-ditch signings today, and the Canaries start the weekend level on points but our pundits feel there is only one winner here.
