Fantasy Football: Get Fellaini in while you can

The deadline for today's Fantasy Football transfer dealings is fast approaching so if you still have one free change to make, or are seeking to take advantage of a home banker, this is the place to be.

Personally I am slipping down the leaderboards pretty rapidly, but one manager who isn’t is former Squarefootball writer Chris Sherrard. He is currently leading the Squarefootball Title league with a whopping 340 points. Nice work Chris.

Studs for me this week are Everton at home to Southampton. The boys in blue are playing great football this season and Fellaini is the pick of the bunch for me. Three goals in five games is a great start for the big Belgian. I can see him adding to that against the Saints this weekend. Baines, Pienaar and Mirallas all are studs too.

FellainiThe Everton game is the only stand out from a home advantage point. Other games that could be good for studs is Newcastle at Reading. Ba is scoring freely and Cisse scored midweek against Manchester United throwing that monkey off his back. Ben Arfa is in inspiring form and at £7.9m he will be a constant goal and assist threat. James Perch would be a very cheap option for Newcastle who have a high chance of a clean sheet. In the same reasoning Steve Harper could be looked at as a cheap goalkeeper option.

Manchester City are away at Fulham and Aguero is now back in the mix and match fit. Carlos Tevez played 120 minutes midweek. I think it is doubtful that Roberto Mancini will play them both so managers (including me) will have to be wary and possibly transfer the nuggety Argentinian. I want to buy Berbatov as he is in great form, but waiting until after this weekend to pick him up might be a good idea.

Wayne Rooney, Welbeck and Chicarito played a near full game midweek, so I doubt they will feature much in United’s home match against Tottenham. This leaves RVP as the strike power up front. If you have defenders from these teams, as well as from Chelsea and Arsenal, maybe give them some bench time, but don’t go looking to buy players from these normally reliable teams as I can’t see cleans sheets being given away easily.

Liverpool played fantastic in the first half against Man United last Sunday. I’m looking for them to play the same away to Norwich today. Suarez and Gerrard are the main assets here. Sterling would be a fantastic purchase if we can get some notification to whether he's going to be getting any game time. Could be worth a punt.

Well that's my fantasy tips for this week. If you have any information that you sould like to share with us, please feel free to get in touch.
