Fulham v West Brom: Can the Baggies break their Cottage hoodoo?

Fulham v west brom

West Brom and Steve Clarke have surprised most people in the game with their unbeaten start to the new season, but will that still be the case after they visit Craven Cottage - a ground where they haven't won in the league since 1967?

The Baggies have brushed off Everton and Liverpool with ease and showed their battling qualities to snatch a draw from Spurs at the Lane, but this will be another test for Clarke to confront. If he can see off the Cottagers and that dismal record, the Baggies could well be sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League come 5pm, as Chelsea face a tricky west London derby with QPR and Swansea go to Villa Park.

Fulham will be looking to get back to winning ways after a thumping start to the campaign. Norwich were gunned down 5-0 on the opening day, but Martin Jol's men have then gone on to lose at Old Trafford in a five-goal thriller and were outplayed by an Andy Carroll-inspired West Ham last time out.

The Cottage is a fortress though for Jol's men. Only Swansea have left there with maximum points during the whole of 2012. That's some record.

The Baggies left the Cottage last season with a share of the spoils thanks to a late strike by Tchoyi, but can they go one better this time and break that awful record at Fulham? Our pundits are not convinced.
