Norwich City v West Ham United: Can the Hammers bash the Canaries?

Bookmark and Share

 Norwich v west ham

It's Saturday lunchtime and the game is live on Sky Sports so that can only mean one thing . . . West Ham are in action!

This is the third time already this season that the Hammers have kicked off the weekend's action, but to mixed fortunes. They were thrashed 3-0 by Swansea at the end of August before an Andy Carroll-inspired Irons put three past Fulham without replay at the Boleyn Ground.

Today they head to struggling Norwich but without their main man Carroll. Will the Hammers leave East Anglia victorious or will the Canaries be flying high having recorded their first league win of the season?

Norwich endured the worst possible start at Fulham on the opening day but have since found a bit of form by drawing with QPR and Spurs. In front of a passionate sell-out crowd this weekend, Hughton will be hoping to reward the fans for their support with a win.

This will be the first top flight clash between Norwich and West Ham since they drew 2-2 at Upton Park in 1995. They have only played each other four times in the Premier League and three of those have ended in draws. Norwich came out on top in their 1994 meeting at Carrow Road thanks to a solitary goal from Mark Robins. However, I believe there will be more than one goal in this game. But who will leave Norfolk with all three points?
