Predict the Premier League: Sunderland are the top dogs
Sunderland were denied victory by a late equaliser from former Newcastle captain Kevin Nolan at the weekend but that was erased in midweek as the Black Cats booked their place in the next round of the Capital One Cup.
There was even more news for Sunderland fan Tony Ratton. His haul this week was enough to send him to the top of the Predict the Premier League table. Mr Ratton is now four points clear of his nearest challenger, Fulham's Neil Springate. And the Black Cat shouldn't get too comfortable at the top of the pile. Recent table toppers have only lasted one week at the summit before sliding down the chart. Just ask Matthew Beeby, Callum Rothwell, Andy Wakeman and Greg Hall.
At the opposite end, Stoke City have now slumped to the foot of the table after Jack Heaney failed to get his scores in on time. This has allowed both Arsenal and Spurs to climb one place each, but they still remain in the bottom three.
Here is how the table looks after week five.
