Predict the Premier League - the Experts: Sunderland put pressure on leader

Bookmark and Share

Sunderland picked up their second point of the season on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium and Martin O'Neill will go into the international break happy with his side's performances so far and dealings in the transfer window. So will Black Cat fanatic Sarshar Hosseinnia as he is breathing down the neck of our editor Antony Melvin in the Experts' section of our Predict the Premier League competition.

The Black Cats are now just two points behind our esteemed leader, but it's far from being a two-horse race. Blackburn Rovers' Terry Kennedy has moved up to third place and just six points split the top five.

At the other end, it's been a great week for the Hammers on the pitch but West Ham's Nigel Telfer has slipped to the foot of the table and is joined in the bottom three by our TV critic Chris Pettitt and myself. But with only 12 points between top and bottom, anything can happen in the next 35 sets of fixtures.

Here is how the overall table looks.
