QPR v Chelsea: Can the R's stun Di Matteo's men?

Bookmark and Share

QPR v Chelsea

Will this game be remembered for all the right reasons this time? Let's hope so.

Games between QPR and Chelsea are always going to be tense affairs - they are bitter neighbours after all - but last season's clash at Loftus Road ended up with two players being shown red and a further two in a courtroom. We can certainly do without that today.

QPR are still waiting for their first win of the season but there would be no sweeter team to beat than Chelsea to achieve that. They picked up all three points last season at Loftus Road, can they make it back-to-back home wins over the Blues for the first time in 22 years?

Chelsea have made an unbelievable start to the campaign. Three wins out of three. You simply can't ask for more. With Torres and Hazard on form, the Blues will be a hard team to beat.

However, the visitors do not have the greatest record away at other clubs in the capital. You have to go back to September 11, 2010, for their last win at a London rival - West Ham 3-1. Di Matteo will be looking to tear up that stat this afternoon.

But will QPR be able to stun their neighbours once again? Our pundits just can't see it.
