Reading v Spurs: Can AVB net his first win as Spurs boss?

Bookmark and Share

Reading v Spurs

Reading have only beaten Spurs once in Premier League history, but they will really fancy their chances of making it two this afternoon when they host under-pressure Tottenham Hotspur.

The Royals currently sit in the bottom three but they have played a game fewer than the rest. A draw on the opening day at Stoke was a decent return to the top flight while they gave Chelsea a huge shock at the Bridge a few days later. Since then Brendan Rodgers' men have been kept off the pitch. I bet some Spurs fans wish that was the case with AVB at the Lane!

Andre Villas-Boas was always under pressure to get off to a good start at Spurs following his nightmare spell at Chelsea. Unfortunately it hasn't gone his way. Defeat at Newcastle on the opening day and two home draws against West Brom and Norwich, combined with some baffling selections, have him on the back foot already.

Both sides are looking for their first league win of the campaign, but will Reading or Spurs be victorious on this Super Sunday? Our pundits can see Spurs getting something, but they are not convinced it will be all three points.
