Wigan v Fulham: Will Berbatov put the Latics to the sword?

Bookmark and Share

Wigan v fulham

While Wigan were getting trounced at Old Trafford last Saturday a Dimitar Berbatov inspired Fulham side were getting back to winning ways against West Bromwich Albion. This weekend Wigan host Fulham in the league, but did you know the Latics haven't beaten the Cottagers since for almost six years?

October 28, 2006, was the last time Roberto Martinez's men claimed all three points against Martin Jol's Londoners. Henri Camara was the hero for the Latics that day. Does Martinez have a game winner in his pack for this afternoon?

Wigan have made a mixed start to the season, winning one, drawing one and losing two, but they will be hoping to give their home fans something to cheer about.

Fulham are generally poor travellers but there is something about the DW Stadium that the Cottagers like. Dempsey and Dembele helped them to a 2-1 win last season which came on the back of five straight draws in Wigan. Will Berbatov be able to shoot the visitors to victory again or will the home side finally roll back the years to beat Jol's men? Our pundits are split.
