Fulham v Aston Villa: Can Lambert get the better of Jol?

Bookmark and Share

Fulham v Villa

On New Year's Eve, 2011, Aston Villa visited the capital and beat the mighty Chelsea 3-1 in their own backyard. It was meant to be the start of something special. Unfortunately, Villa have only gone on to win one further Premier League match on the road - and that was against Wolves on January 21!

This weekend Paul Lambert's men head to the Cottage to face a Fulham side that has only lost twice at home throughout 2012. The champions Manchester City showed them their class by coming from behind to win three weeks ago, but there's not much love out there for a Villa win.

Fulham's home form has been exceptional throughout the past 10 months. Not only are they hard to beat and well organised, Martin Jol's men also possess a number of goals. With Berbatov back from injury, Fulham will be looking to send the Villa packing empty-handed.

Villa haven't lost this fixture since May 2009. Unfortunately the majority of our pundits are going for a home win.
