Liverpool v Reading: Will Rodgers claim his first home league win of the season?

Liverpool v reading

Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has probably had more sexual encounters than there have been games between Liverpool and Reading. Saturday will be only the ninth ever meeting between the two, with all of them coming in the past six years.

However, if there's one thing this game promises it's goals.

There has only been one meeting where both sides haven't scored, so this must be a shoe-in for your Goals Galore slips. That rare occurrence came in the sides very first league clash at Anfield, when Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners. Since then though Reading have shown no regard for reputation - even knocking them out of the FA Cup at Anfield only two years ago.

Neither side has started the season on fire. Liverpool are still searching for their first league win at Anfield under Rodgers while Reading are looking to claim their first three points full stop. Just three points separate the two sides but the Royals will head north with nothing to lose.

Liverpool are clear favourites to claim the points this weekend, but you can never rule out a determined Reading side. However, it looks as though are pundits can only see this one going one way.
