Manchester City v Swansea City: Champions tipped to rip Swans apart

Bookmark and Share

Man city v Swansea

Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko came to the champions rescue yet again last week in a hard-fought win over a resilient West Brom. This weekend Roberto Mancini's men welcome Swansea City to the Etihad and the Italian will be looking to make ground on the leaders Chelsea following their disappointment in the Champions League.

Swansea City got back to winning ways last weekend at home to Wigan Athletic, but the Swans have bad memories of the Etihad. They opened their Premier League campaign at the stadium last season and went down 4-0 as Sergio Aguero gave the City fans a brief glimpse of his talent.

Sqf team of the week promoHowever, the Swans got revenge back at the Liberty as Luke Moore almost ended Mancini's title hopes.

Manchester City are yet to lose in the league this season but they have not been their usual selves at the back. Last season Hart, Kompany and Lescott were almost impregnable. This season anyone with the balls to try their luck are getting lucky. Mancini must find a way to rectify that now or City could end up losing their grip on the title sooner rather than later.

The Swans have only won on the blue side of Manchester once in their history. Looking at the predictions below I think it's safe to say that that stat should remain intact come the final whistle, but Swansea love a challenge and will give the hosts a game.
