Manchester United v Stoke City: Will United smash the Potters again?

Bookmark and Share

Manchester U v Stoke

Stoke City haven't won at Old Trafford for 36 years, but, like Spurs, Tony Pulis's Potters know that records are there to be broken and with Peter Crouch in fine scoring form this could well be the day their terrible form at the Theatre of Dreams comes to an end.

The Potters head up the M6 with nothing to lose. Everyone thinks they have no hope of getting a result there. This should be music to the ears of Tony Pulis, who should be able to send his troops out without any fear.

With Chelsea playing Spurs in the lunchtime kick off, United may enter the game knowing that a win could see them cut the gap at the top to just a point. That would not be a bad start for Fergie's men.

Stoke City are fast becoming better at drawing than Rolf Harris! Five of their seven league games so far have ended all square. No wonder our pundits are not giving the Potters any hope of claiming all three points here this weekend. But could former Red Michael Owen or former Liverpool marksman Peter Crouch come back to haunt United?
