Newcastle United v West Brom: Goals guaranteed at St James'

Bookmark and Share

Newcastle v west brom

There are not too many games that guarantee goals but this is definitely one of them. Since the end of the Second World War there has only been two goalless draws between Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion. Last season this fixture produced five and the previous one gave us six! So tick this box for your Goals Galore bet.

Newcastle United were unfortunate not to have sealed all three points last weekend against their fierce rivals Sunderland, but West Brom had their hearts well and truly ripped out by the champions at the Hawthorns. The Baggies could have taken all three points. Instead, 10-man Manchester City snatched the win right at the death.

Steve Clarke's men are four points ahead of Newcastle in the table but they have only won at St James' Park twice since 1977. Granted they did it last season, but they haven't recorded back-to-back wins at St James' since 1966.

With Ba, Cisse, Long and Lukaku on the pitch, this game should produce a glut of goals, but the panel can only see one winner.
