Predict the Premier League: Sunderland and Fulham move clear of the rest
Sunderland had to come from behind to snatch a point in the Tyne-Wear derby on Sunday but they are still out in front in our Predict the Premier League competition. Tony Ratton shared top spot in the weekly chart with Fulham's Neil Springate and Mr Springate remains Mr Ratton's nearest rival in the overall table.
Just two points separate the two men who are putting clear distance between themselves and the chasing pack. They are now nine and seven points ahead of Southampton's Andy Saunders respectively.
It was a bad week for West Brom's Andy Wakeman and Swansea's Jim Barry, as both men slipped out of the top five. But it was awful news for Chelsea's Joe Tyler as he slipped in to the bottom three along with Stoke's Jack Heaney and Tottenham's Mike Richards.
However, Aston Villa's Frank Pattison and Wigan's Jimmy Shine have both moved away from the drop zone.
Here is how the overall table looks now following the results in week eight.
