West Brom v Man City: Can the Baggies beat the champions?

Bookmark and Share

West brom v Man City

West Brom lost their first goals at home last time out to QPR. At the same time, Manchester City had recorded their first clean sheet of the season at home to Sunderland. But who will come out on top this afternoon when the champions take on West Brom and their 100 per cent winning home record?

Roberto Mancini's men are one of only two undefeated clubs in the Premier League - but they have been far from convincing. Away from home they have only managed one win so far - at Fulham - and their record at the Hawthorns is hardly exemplary.

Under Steve Clarke West Brom look like they could well be battling it out for a European place this season. Well drilled, well organised with plenty of goals in them, the Baggies are a great team to watch.

The two sides drew a blank when they met on Boxing Day although City did win there the previous season 2-0. However, West Brom had won the previous three meetings before that, so City will have to work for this win.

I am expecting goals, but who will edge this top of the table clash? The majority of our pundits is going with an away win.

West Bromwich Albion v Manchester City; Kick Off 3pm October 20 2012
