Fantasy Football: Defoe, Chelsea and Cesar should be kings
Again the Premier League is full of unpredictability, fantastic for fans, horrific for fantasy managers.
Outside of the Premier League, but still in England, there were some great games in the Capital One cup this week. 21 goals in two matches is crazy.
Fantasy manager Jason Tranter has his second week on top of the table. Congratulations.
StudsJermain Defoe - Strong match up for Spurs at home to Wigan. Defoe was rested midweek so should feature in this fixture.
Romelu Lukaku - Strong showing for the big Belgian so far this season. I'm picking him to score in this Monday's fixture at home to Southampton.Chelsea forwards - Juan Mata is playing out of skin and Hazard isn't far behind. Away in Swansea this week for Chelsea should be a winnable fixture, but a hard fought one at that. Note that with Frank Lampard out, Hazard will be on PK duty.
Ryan Betrand - Ashely Cole has an ankle injury so may not be back for this weekend. IF not then Bertrand is a stud away to Swansea.Manchester City - Away to West Ham.
Jan Vertonghen - Has the potential to get forward and as I said before for Defoe, this match up should favour Tottenham.
Julio Cesar - QPR have been pretty woeful. But they are at home to new boys Reading, and I think they'll come away with the win.
DudsManchester United/Arsenal defenders and Southampton defenders, who are away to West Brom.
NotesStoke defenders - Normally quite good at home, this might continue at an out of sorts Norwich. But then again it may not. That's why they are on the stud/dud fence.
Arsenal/Manchester United attackers - On the fence due to the possibility of them cancelling each other out. If we have another Capital One Cup-esque game then they'd be fantasy gold. But I cannot see that happening.
