Norwich City v Chelsea: Will the Canaries be gr-8 against the Blues?

Bookmark and Share

Norwich v Chelsea

Norwich City's unbeaten run came to an end against West Brom on Saturday and today they take on a Chelsea side that just spanked eight goals past Aston Villa. Can the Canaries bring the Blues back to earth or will Rafa Benitez give Chris Hughton's men a real stuffing?

Chelsea were on a different planet against Villa. They looked like they were going to score with every attack. Even Fernando Torres found the back of the net! But Norwich City will give Chelsea a much sterner test. The one thing Chris Hughton has worked on since they last played the Blues is their defence. Norwich lost 4-1 at the Bridge but that proved to be the turning point of their season as they went on an unbeaten run.

Norwich haven't beaten Chelsea since December 1994 when Ashley Ward (2) and Jamie Cureton scored in a 3-0 win. They may not suffer the same embarrassment as Villa, but Norwich may suffer the same fate in getting beat.
