Southampton v Sunderland: Will Adkins or O'Neill be smiling at full-time?
Only one point separates Southampton and Sunderland in the Premier League table but Southampton fans will be far the happier at the fact that they are currently sitting fourth from bottom.
The Saints weren't given a hope of beating the drop this season while Sunderland fans were expecting to see their Black Cats challenging for a European place. Today they lock horns knowing that a win here could be a crucial one in their survival fight.
Southampton have lost, drawn and won three times at home this season, while the Black Cats have only picked up seven points on their travels. The Saints collected all three points in a huge game with Reading last time out while Sunderland lost 3-1 at Old Trafford.
Who will emerge with a smile broader than a child on Christmas morning? Will it be Nigel Adkins or Martin O'Neill? Our pundits have their say.
Southampton v Sunderland; Kick Off 3pm December 22 2012
