Newcastle United v Southampton: Can the Saints turn over the Mags?
Newcastle United and Southampton are just three points above the drop zone but victory here this afternoon could see either side climb to 13th place in the table.
The omens look good for the home side though as Southampton have only triumphed four times at St James' Park in their history. March 1, 1997, was the last time the Saints got the upper hand of Newcastle in the north east, courtesy of the man who loved to menace the Mags, Matt Le Tissier. But the visiting fans will think an away win is long overdue. Especially after beating them 2-0 earlier this season.
The Saints have lost only two of their past 10 Premier League outings and start the day above Newcastle on goal difference. They will still be buzzing after disposing of Manchester City last time out, but can they do the same to Newcastle?
Our pundits have their say.
Newcastle United v Southampton; Kick Off 1.30pm February 24 2013
