Predict the Premier League - Experts: Blackburn, Portsmouth and Wolves in battle for second

Bookmark and Share

Manchester United have blown away the rest of the Premier League to all but wrap up the title in March and so has Squarefootball editor Antony Melvin in our Predict the Premier League competition.

Our leader is a whopping 33 points clear of his nearest challengers, Portsmouth's Peter Rendle and Wolves' Chris Cox, and only a monumental collapse will prevent him from being crowned champion in May.

Mr Melvin has been the man to beat all season. Bar a few weeks around Christmas when Blackburn Rovers fan Terry Kennedy ruled the waves, Antony has been Mr Consistent with his predictions, while Mr Kennedy has slipped to fourth.

The race for second place and the fight to beat the drop are now the most exciting features of this competition. Three teams are battling it out for second place while Middlesbrough's Sue Gardener and Aberdeen's Colin Illingworth are slowly but surely closing the gap on those above them at the foot of the table.

Here is how the Experts table currently stands today.
