Sunderland v Norwich City: Can the Canaries outfox the Black Cats?
Did you know the home side in this fixture has emerged victorious in the past eight meetings? That will be music to the sound of Martin O'Neill's ears who could climb above rivals Newcastle United this afternoon and their opponents.
The last time the away side ran out winners in this fixture was 16 years ago when Norwich won 1-0 thanks to Daryl Sutch. Former Newcastle boss Chris Hughton would love to send his Canaries home chirping with their first away win since beating Swansea on December 8. In fact, that remains Norwich's only away win this season.
Sunderland's home form has been worrying this season. They have recorded just four wins at the Stadium of Light and only one of those has come in 2013 - against West Ham. After following that up with a win over Wigan, most pundits felt the Black Cats were safe, but two points from a possible 18 has left them just six points above the relegation zone and Wigan still have a game in hand on them.
Norwich are on course to complete their first double over Sunderland for 15 years. Can the Canaries outfox the Black Cats and possibly climb up to 10th place or will Martin O'Neill's men get back to winning ways? Our pundits have their say.
Sunderland v Norwich City; Kick Off 1.30pm March 17 2013
