Arsenal: Bony or Remy - Who would you rather sign?
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is in the market for a new striker this summer but it appears that the Frenchman is embroiled in a battle with his board over who they should sign.
Wenger reportedly likes the look of his fellow countryman Loic Remy, who has failed to save QPR beat the drop from the Premier League, while his superiors would rather bring Dutch scoring sensation Wilfried Bony to the Emirates.
But who would be the right man for Arsenal?
Remy has shone for a dismal QPR in the second half of the season. The former Marseille striker has scored five goals in 12 appearances for the Hoops and his coped with the physical demands of the Premier League with ease. The 26-year-old, who chose QPR ahead of Newcastle in January, has a £6m release clause in his contract at Loftus Road and Wenger would be picking up a bargain.
The French international knows where the goals are and boasts a record of a goal almost every other game during his time at Lyon, Marseille and QPR. With the ammunition that Arsenal could provide him on a daily basis, Remy could be - whisper it - the new Henry.
Despite all of the shenanigans going on at west London, Remy has emerged with his head held high. There has been no talk of him causing any trouble or of letting the team down on the pitch. He is very much a team player and has scored some cracking goals to boot. All of those qualities will please Wenger no end.
But then we have Bony who has been catching the eye of a number of Premier League clubs with his exploits in Holland. The Ivory Coast international, who has been dubbed the next Didier Drogba, has racked up 37 goals in 32 starts for club and country. That's an impressive return whatever league you play in.
Bony, who plays for Vitesse Arnhem, is only 24 and has reportedly made Arsenal his number one destination. Premier League rivals West Ham have been sniffing around the striker for a number of months now but insiders claim he is holding out for a move by the Gunners.
The striker is strong, quick and has a ferocious right foot on him. He is also good in the air.
It is only a matter of time before we see Bony in the Premier League but will it be in the red of Arsenal or against the Gunners?
Both Remy and Bony look like they have the skill and attitude to succeed at Arsenal, but with Wenger also being linked with Barcelona's David Villa and Fiorentina's Jovetic, who would you rather sign?
Whatever your view, we'd love to hear from you.
